White chocolate lotion bar recipe

This lotion bar looks like a yummy piece of chocolate but is a solid body butter that smells like white chocolate. A real beauty treat that you’ll love and enjoy with all your senses!
As you can imagine, the main ingredient of this lotion bar recipe is white chocolate, which is basically cocoa butter with sugar, vanilla and a few more ingredients depending on the brand you use. I decided to use it mainly for its fragrance and to give a mouthwatering touch to my handmade lotion bar.

Cocoa butter is nourishing, protective, repairing and antioxidant. You might think to replace all the cocoa butter used in the recipe with white chocolate, but I do not recommend doing so because it would be difficult to spread and would make the product a bit sticky and floury. Believe me, pure cocoa butter is really needed if you want to obtain a good product!
I used 16% of white chocolate in this solid body butter recipe, which is a fairly high dose that grants a good fragrance intensity.
FYI, white chocolate cannot be completely replaced with dark chocolate because it would color your skin. It should be used in smaller doses… I’ll talk about it in one of my future articles.

Regarding the oils, the ones I selected for this lotion bar recipe are not so greasy and have a pleasant texture. It avoids weighing down the product. The vanilla infused oil makes the fragrance even more gourmand.
Beeswax and candelilla wax are needed to harden the lotion bar. I suggest using a white beeswax in this case as it could influence the color of the final result.

Lotion bars should be used after showering to nourish, protect and scent your skin. The one of this recipe spreads well, absorbs easily and leaves the skin delicately scented. For better results, massage it on wet skin. It helps to keep hydration.
